Google Colab Free Hosted Jupyter Notebook Service

Google Colab remains free of charge to use as a hosted Jupyter Notebook service. Google’s current official FAQ says Colab requires no setup and provides free access to computing resources including GPUs and TPUs, making it useful for Python, machine learning, data science and education. The free resources are deliberately not guaranteed or unlimited: hardware availability, usage limits, idle timeouts, GPU types and other quotas can vary over time. Google also says free notebooks can run for at most 12 hours depending on availability and usage patterns, and managed runtimes may terminate earlier when limits or anti-abuse policies are triggered. This is therefore best treated as free interactive notebook compute rather than guaranteed always-on infrastructure. Use the official Colab service with a Google Account, save important work to persistent storage, and verify the assigned runtime hardware before starting a resource-heavy workload.
