GitLab Free plan with source control and CI/CD

GitLab's current Free tier is listed at $0 per user per month for personal projects and open-source contributions. The official pricing page currently includes source code management and CI/CD, 400 compute minutes per month on GitLab.com, 10 GiB of adjustable storage, and Static Application Security Testing, with a five-user limit for private top-level groups on GitLab.com. GitLab says no credit card is required to start the Free plan, but there is an important exception: its pricing FAQ says card details are required if a GitLab.com user chooses to use shared runners for the included compute minutes. Users who bring their own runner or disable shared runners do not need a card for that purpose. Extra compute, storage and newer AI capabilities may be separately paid. Because GitLab's hosted and self-managed rules differ, users should check the current plan details for the deployment they intend to use.
