Zotero Free Open-Source Research and Citation Manager

Zotero is a free and open-source research management application designed to collect, organize, annotate, cite and share academic and professional sources. The official Zotero site provides desktop downloads for Windows, macOS and Linux, along with mobile apps for iOS and Android. Zotero's storage documentation currently includes 300 MB of free Zotero File Storage for attachments, while the local library itself is not limited by that online file quota. Larger optional Zotero storage plans are paid separately. This DealVorio record covers the free Zotero software and the included free storage allowance, not paid storage upgrades or third-party services. Researchers can use Zotero for citation workflows, browser-based source capture and library organization, but should review collaboration and storage needs before relying on the free online quota.
