Zoom Workplace Basic Free Plan: 40-Minute Meetings for Up to 100 People

Zoom currently lists Workplace Basic as its free collaboration plan for one user. The official plan pages show meetings with up to 100 participants and a maximum duration of 40 minutes per meeting, alongside Zoom Chat, Mail, Calendar, Docs, Notes and other basic collaboration features. Zoom also currently lists three editable Whiteboards and five two-minute Clips on the Basic tier. The free plan is well suited to short remote meetings, interviews, study groups, community calls and lightweight team collaboration where the 40-minute meeting cap is acceptable. People who need longer meetings, more cloud storage or advanced AI and administrative features should compare the paid tiers before upgrading, because feature availability and add-ons can vary by account and region.
