Windscribe Free VPN with 2GB or 10GB monthly data

Windscribe's current official free-tier page describes a free-forever VPN rather than a short trial. A free account receives 2 GB of monthly VPN bandwidth without supplying an email address, and confirming an email increases that allowance to 10 GB per month. Windscribe currently lists access to free servers in 10 countries, unlimited devices on one account, and no credit card requirement for the free tier. The provider also states that the free plan uses the same core encryption and does not throttle connections, although it has a smaller server pool and monthly data cap than paid plans. Users who provide an email for the 10 GB allowance should also review Windscribe's current communication terms, because its help center says unsubscribing from promotional emails can reduce the account back to the 2 GB allowance. Local VPN laws and service availability still apply.
