Tailscale Personal Plan: Free Private Network for Up to 6 Users

Tailscale currently provides a free Personal plan for individuals who want to connect devices through a private tailnet. Its official pricing documentation states that the Personal plan permits up to six free users in a single Tailscale network, and users can also share devices with other users through node sharing.

The plan is intended for personal use rather than as a substitute for a business subscription. Tailscale separately offers a free Community on GitHub option for qualifying open-source organizations, but that is a different eligibility path and is not required for the Personal plan described here.

To get started, create or sign in to a Tailscale account, install Tailscale on the devices you want to connect, and add them to the same tailnet. Review the live pricing page for current device, feature and administrative limits before depending on it for a larger team or commercial environment.
