Microsoft Teams Free Personal Plan

Microsoft Teams Free is Microsoft’s no-cost personal version of Teams for everyday communication with friends, family and communities. Microsoft’s current support comparison lists instant and scheduled meetings, screen sharing, unlimited chat messages, 5 GB of file storage and use by one person. Free meetings can host up to 100 participants for up to 60 minutes. Some advanced meeting controls, recordings and business collaboration features require a Microsoft 365 or Teams business subscription. A Microsoft account is used to sign in, while invited participants can join some meetings without creating a Teams account. Availability also has a current regional restriction: Microsoft ended Teams Free for personal use on mobile in China and ended desktop/web availability there beginning July 28, 2026.
