Microsoft Azure Free Account: $200 Credit for 30 Days

Microsoft’s current Azure free account gives eligible new Azure customers $200 in credit to use within 30 days. It also includes monthly free amounts of more than 20 popular services for the first 12 months and 65+ services with ongoing free monthly allowances. Microsoft says the free account has spending protection and will not charge the card unless the customer chooses to move to pay-as-you-go pricing. Signup still requires identity verification with a phone number and a non-prepaid credit or debit card, and a temporary $1 or equivalent authorization hold may appear and then be removed. To keep using services after the 30-day free-account window or after the credit is exhausted, the customer must move to pay as you go; otherwise the account and services are disabled.
