JAL Mileage Bank: Free Membership with No Registration or Annual Fee

JAL Mileage Bank is free to join, with no registration fee and no annual membership fee for the standard mileage account. Members can earn miles on eligible JAL Group domestic and international flights, oneworld and other participating airline flights, hotel stays, car rentals, shopping and selected everyday activities. Available miles can be redeemed for flight awards, upgrades and other published travel or partner rewards.

The free mileage account is separate from optional JAL credit-card products, which can have their own eligibility, fees and country restrictions. JAL also says new and renewed physical JMB cards stopped being issued from August 4, 2025; members can view their frequent-flyer number in the JAL app after logging in. Earning rates depend on fare, cabin, route and partner, while award availability, taxes, surcharges and mileage-validity rules still apply.
