Hertz Gold Plus Rewards: Free Membership with Rental Points and Faster Pickup

Hertz Gold Plus Rewards is a free-to-join rental-car loyalty program that can make eligible Hertz rentals faster and more rewarding. Hertz’s current enrollment page highlights skip-the-line/vehicle-choice benefits at participating locations and lets members earn points that can be redeemed toward free rental days. The program’s location and rental rules matter: counter bypass and Ultimate Choice are not available everywhere, and points apply to the base rental rate rather than taxes, fees or optional extras. Joining the loyalty program does not make the rental itself free and normal rental qualifications, pricing and payment requirements still apply when booking a vehicle. Travelers who rent Hertz repeatedly can use the program without a membership fee, but should compare the actual rental rate and terms before choosing loyalty benefits over another provider.
