Harvard CS50x 2026 Free Computer Science Course and Certificate

Harvard University’s CS50x 2026 is available free through the official CS50 OpenCourseWare site, including eleven weeks of material for learners with or without prior programming experience. The course starts with Scratch and C, then covers arrays, algorithms, memory, data structures, Python, SQL, artificial intelligence, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flask, and a final project. Non-Harvard learners can work through the material at no charge. To submit problem sets and the final project for automated feedback, CS50 instructs learners to create an edX account. The official CS50 certificate page says a free CS50 Certificate is available after earning at least 70% on each required problem set and lab and on the final project. An edX verified certificate is a separate paid option. The 2026 course syllabus lists a completion deadline of December 31, 2026, so learners should check the official page for rollover rules if starting late in the year.
