Google TV Freeplay Adds 10,000+ Free On-Demand Movies and Shows

Google TV Freeplay now includes more than 10,000 free on-demand movies and shows and more than 300 free live channels. Google says no streaming subscription is required, but the service is ad-supported and its catalog will be refreshed over time. The lineup spans movies, shows, news, sports, reality TV, true crime and other entertainment, with examples from studios such as A24 and Lionsgate.

This is a U.S.-only Google TV device benefit, not a worldwide web-streaming coupon. Google’s official terms require a Google Account, high-speed internet and a compatible Google TV device in the United States. Content availability can change, so individual titles and channels mentioned in Google’s announcement are examples rather than permanent promises.
