Google AI Educator Series Offers Free Short AI Training for U.S. Teachers

Google’s AI Educator Series is a free online training program for K–12 and higher-education teachers. Google’s U.S. announcement says the first wave includes more than 20 sessions and is available to educators across the United States. The modules are designed as short, non-sequential micro-trainings that can be completed individually or combined into longer learning paths.

Google’s official program page says sessions cover foundational understanding, instructional uses and administrative applications of AI, including responsible use and Google education tools. K–12 sessions are generally 10–15 minutes, while higher-education sessions are generally 30–45 minutes. Options include self-paced and instructor-led learning, and Google says a short quiz can lead to a digital microcredential or badge.

This record is conservatively scoped to U.S. educators because Google’s launch announcement expressly identifies that audience. Session availability, language and live schedules can change, and a Google sign-in may be needed to enroll or record completion.
