Figma for Education: Free Professional or Enterprise Access

Figma for Education currently gives eligible students and educators access to paid Figma capabilities at no charge after education verification. Figma’s official help documentation says higher-education students, higher-education educators, and qualifying bootcamp participants can receive Professional-plan access, while eligible high-school students and educators can receive Enterprise-plan access.

The program is intended for real classroom participation rather than self-directed learning, startups, or non-educational organizations. Applicants need an existing Figma account and must verify education status. Figma notes that the Education program is available only in select regions, so an otherwise eligible student or teacher may still find that the program is not offered in their location.

Once verified, users can create or upgrade an Education team and use Figma and FigJam for classroom work, collaboration, prototyping, and design-to-development workflows. Figma can update its verification process and access rules, so applicants should use the official Education application flow and confirm the plan shown in their account rather than assuming every classroom receives the same plan or duration.
