Dropbox Basic Free Plan: 2GB Cloud Storage and File Sharing at $0

Dropbox’s current official Basic plan provides 2 GB of cloud storage at no charge for one person. Dropbox says Basic users can access files across computers, phones, tablets and the web, create shared links for files and folders, preview many file types in a browser, collaborate on shared files and use online-only storage to free local disk space. The current Basic plan page also lists automatic computer-file backup and support for connecting up to three devices. This makes Dropbox Basic useful for light document storage, personal file sharing and simple backup workflows without paying for a subscription. The 2 GB capacity is much smaller than paid tiers, so users with large photo, video or backup libraries should check storage usage carefully and compare the current paid plans before relying on Basic for heavier workloads.
