DigitalOcean App Platform Free Tier for Up to 3 Static-Site Apps

DigitalOcean currently provides an App Platform Free Tier for static-site projects at $0 per month. The official pricing page says users can deploy up to three apps that use only static-site components, with 1 GiB of outbound data transfer included for each free app. The tier also includes deployment from GitHub and GitLab, automatic HTTPS, custom domains, a global CDN, DDoS mitigation and unlimited team members. It is important not to confuse this with free dynamic compute: DigitalOcean's pricing documentation says the Free Tier is for static-site components, while web services, workers and other container compute use paid App Platform resources. Additional static-site apps cost $3 per month, and outbound transfer above the included allowance is billed at $0.02 per GiB. This makes the free tier best suited to portfolios, documentation, landing pages and small static projects with predictable traffic.
